HOW DO YOU MAKE FRIENDS? is a short expository film exploring modern ways of finding like-minded people and expanding one’s social circle. In this video, the interviewees part of a “friend-making” Discord server talk about their perspectives, experiences and opinions about such methods of meeting new people.

As the director, I led the overall structure and flow of the film. I intended the film to be emotional and serious, as a way of providing a platform for these individuals to speak about this lesser-known topic. At the same time, I also ensured that the information provided in the film was insightful and valuable in order for viewers to learn something new from watching.
