Threadlightly

Roles: Logo Designer, Social Media Manager, Content Strategist

Date: October 2020 - October 2021

THREADLIGHTLY is an independent thrift store focused on being from the community, for the community. Items are in the store are donated by the public and proceeds from the sales will be donated back to different organisations each month.

The store started off as an online store with pop-ups around Singapore. Naturally, it expanded into having a storefront in the heartlands, in Queensway Shopping Centre.

Although THREADLIGHTLY’s space in Queensway has shuttered, it continues to grow. It still holds its online presence while having pop-ups in Canada.

Designing the logo for THREADLIGHTLY meant translating the company’s noble intentions while also ensuring it retains the fun and electric energy of the brand. The logo had to be versatile, recognisable and edgy to stand out from the crowd.

As the brand’s social media manager and content strategist, I ensured that the brand retained its audience with exciting and engaging posts. With a company focused heavily on community, communication is absolutely key. Responding to people on the brand’s social media was a key aspect during my time with THREADLIGHTLY.
